Madlen participates in a roundtable on 'Reparieren, Wiederverwenden: Neue Ästhetik?' at the General Assembly of BSA (Bund Schweizer Architektinnen und Architekten). The aim of the roundtable is to explore what reuse aesthetics could be and whether the reuse of materials has led to new aesthetics in architecture. Presenting the case of the Ningbo History Museum and the reuse of tiles and bricks from demolished houses by Wang Shu and Lu Wenyu (Amateur Architecture Studio), Madlen proposes to approach aesthetics through the lens of skills and knowledge of those who make architecture.
